  1. Make pie crust with less shortening
  2. Roll out
  3. Peel apples and chop fine
  4. Spread over crust
  5. Mix sugar and cinnamon and pour over
  6. Dot with butter, dash of salt
  7. Roll up and cut like cinnamon roll
  8. Make syrup of 1 cup sugar, 2 cups water, and a little butter
  9. Heat and pour into baking pan
  10. Place rolls
  11. Cut side up in syrup
  12. Bake 400 degrees
