- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 4 eggs
- salt to taste
- Bring butter and water to boiling point.
- Sift flour and salt.
- Add to fat and water all at once. Beat vigorously until mixture is thick and leaves sides of pan in one mass.
- Remove from heat.
- Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition.
- Drop on ungreased pan.
- Bake at 400 degrees 45 minutes.
- Cut tops off and fill or fill with a press.
- Use ice cream, whipped cream, custard, cream pudding
