  • 4 lbs ground hamburger or ground venison
  • 12 lbs chopped apples
  • 3 lbs seeded raisins
  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups corn syrup
  • 1 glass jelly
  • 1 can red pitted cherries
  • Juice of 3 lemons
  • Juice of 3 oranges
  • 1 cup sliced citron peel
  • 2 T cinnamon
  • 1 T cloves
  • 1 pint vinegar
  • salt to taste

  • 2 cups corn syrup
  • 1 glass jelly
  • 1 can red pitted cherries
  • Juice of 3 lemons
  • Juice of 3 oranges
  • 1 cup sliced citron peel
  • 2 T cinnamon
  • 1 T cloves
  • 1 pint vinegar
  • salt to taste
Instructions
  1. Cook ground meat in small amount of water until tender.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and cook in a large kettle, 1 hour very slowly.

This may be canned in fruit jars or stored in an earthen crock.
